Over the years, the partners and staff of Haygarth doctors have undertaken fundraising for local and national charities.
Much of this money is raised through the sale of second hand books located in the waiting rooms of Hay and Talgarth Medical Centres. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has donated and purchased books from us and please, please continue.

Haygarth Doctors Fundraising Update July 2025
The practice has continued to hold in house fundraising events over the last year, and
book sales also contribute to funds raised.
Staff enjoyed supporting our Advent raffle where a prize was drawn every day during December, the proceeds went to the Brecon and Hay Foodbank and Comic Relief. Macmillan benefitted from the staff cake baking and eating skills. North Weir Trust was supported by book sales as was the NSPCC and Little Princess Trust. In April we wore blue and made (and ate) pies for Parkinson’s Disease awareness week. Of course we always support the Poppy Appeal.
Charities supported are as follows:
North Weir Trust £100.00
Brecon and Hay Foodbank £85.00
Macmillan £94.86
Comic Relief £50.00
Poppy Appeal £13.54
Parkinson’s Disease £83.01
NSPCC £25.00
Little Princess Trust £25.00
Our 2025/2026 fundraising will start again in September with our Macmillan coffee and
cake week. There are many more activities planned for 2025/26, and we look forward to
keeping you updated with our fundraising efforts. The fundraising team are keen to
