Mpox

Mpox is spreading rapidly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and several neighbouring countries in Central Africa.

If you think you may have Mpox, do not enter any healthcare facility unless directed to do so by a healthcare professional.

Telephone NHS 111 or your GP before entering our Minor Injuries Departments.

Symptoms of Mpox

If you have travelled to any of the affect countries within the past 21 days, telephone 111 or call you GP for an assessment it:

  • You have a new rash with spots blisters or ulcers

or

  • You feel unwell or have fever and have had contact with someone who may have had Mpox.

You must inform NHS 111 or your GP of your travel history.
