Haygarth Doctors Update – 24th December 2021

As from 26th December 2021 the Welsh Government has re-introduced the 2 metre social distancing measures within all public premises, therefore we will have reduced capacity within our waiting rooms.

We plan to continue with routine Face to Face clinics, although there may be certain circumstances that force us to move to a telephone consultation, we do hope that this can be avoided.

To enable the practice to continue with routine Face to Face appointments we have unfortunately had to make some adjustments to patient access.  We have a maximum capacity of 7 patients in the waiting area at the Medical Centre in Hay/6 patients in the waiting area at Talgarth.

We would ask:

  1. Patients who are attending for a routine or emergency appointment to please check in with using one of the following options (unless directed otherwise by the triage team)
  • Check in via the link in your appointment text reminder
  • Check in via the auto arrival check in machine in the waiting room
  • Check in by scanning the Practice QR code that is displayed on the waiting room windows (can be accessed from outside)
  1. Patients attending for an emergency appointment must check in with reception at the prescription hatch (unless directed otherwise by the triage team)
  2. Once you have checked in please return to your car and wait to be contacted via your mobile (in the event that you do not have a mobile phone then please advise the reception team at the prescription hatch)
  3. Please ensure that you do not arrive too early, try to be as punctual as possible.
  4. Patients visiting the practice to collect/order a prescription to please use the prescription hatches at both Hay and Talgarth Medical Centres.
  5. For all general queries please seek assistance from the reception team via the prescription hatch.  Alternatively please try contacting us via our website.

Please continue to wear a face covering when entering the practice.

Please DO NOT attend the practice if you have COVID symptoms; high temperature, new onset cough, loss of taste or smell.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.

Thank you
